In Conversation with Kimberly Drew and Sarah Hoover

The Church’s summer exhibition, Threading the Needle explores how contemporary artists have incorporated fabric, textiles, and weaving in their works as a vehicle to tackle a range of multifaceted themes – from politics to gender. On Sunday August 28th, The Church presented Kimberley Drew and Sarah Hoover in conversation to discuss the relationship between textiles, art, and fashion, and how the fabrics we choose to adorn ourselves with are intrinsically linked to the complex relationships we have with our bodies and identities, as well as the history of representation.
