EVERYONE IS IN THE BAND: KIRTAN with TIM & SITA KADASH, November’s Wellness Wednesday

  • The Church 48 Madison Street Sag Harbor, NY, 11963 United States (map)

Tickets

  • Members: Free with RSVP

  • Non-Members: $10

Tim Kadash and his daughter Sita Kadash invite you to join us at The Church for a morning of meditative song and relaxation, as they lead us in Kirtan. Guiding you through chanting, breath, poetry, and song, Tim and Sita will immerse you in the ancient tradition that has the ability to quiet and uplift the mind, open the heart, and invoke inner awareness, peace, and joy. Whether you sing along or just listen, “Everyone is in the band.”

Led by an expert from the healing or wellness space, Wellness Wednesdays harnesses the wealth of experience and expertise of our local area, which is rich in wellness leaders, and offers it back to the community. This new series celebrates and explores one’s creative self, centering on personal wellness in mind, body, and spirit. From yoga to gong immersions to lectures and conversations and beyond, Wellness Wednesdays occur the third Wednesday of every month at 10 AM, with a different iteration each time.

Aligned with our existing programs Insight Sundays and Knowledge Fridays, which provide insight into the creative processes of artists and the lives of community leaders, respectively, Wellness Wednesdays encourages attendees to position themselves as dynamic conduits of energy and creativity.

  • Tim and his daughter Sita have been practicing Bhakti yoga collectively for over 30 years. Tim is a local carpenter who learned drums while living in Shree Muktanandra Ashram and Harmonium at the Watermill Center. Sita is an artist studying for her masters in psychology and has been studying music with her father. The two have been chanting for many years and together have a weekly “Satsang” at the Yoga House, aka Kara Yoga. All are invited. Donations made during their “Satsang” are distributed to local charities such as The Retreat, Fresh Air Home, and Long Island Cares among others.
