Around Midsummer—when the veil between the spirit world and ours is at its thinnest, The Church will host The Droll Ball in collaboration with the release of Iris Smyles’ new book, Droll Tales (Turtle Point Press June 28, 2022).
Tickets include: A signed copy of Droll Tales by Iris Smyles, one raffle ticket for a chance to win a unique print by Eric Fischl, music by The Hoodoo Loungers, dinner able bites, custom cocktails, a seance, and magic!

Featuring sheila pepe
The Church is thrilled to host a conversation with renowned artist, educator, and artist-in-residence Sheila Pepe. Sheila will be joined by The Church’s Chief Curator Sara Cochran, who will interview Sheila on her work featured in our Threading the Needle exhibition. Known for crocheting large-scale, ephemeral installations and sculptures, Sheila will be spending her residency installing a sight specific piece that will hang from The Church’s wooden rafters, the first time an artist has worked specifically with the historic architecture of the building

The Church is delighted to host acclaimed writer Gary Ginsberg for a discussion of his New York Times bestselling book: “First Friends:  The Powerful, Unsung and Unelected People Who Shaped Our Presidents”. Presidential literature is replete with books about First Ladies, First Sons, First Butlers, First Chefs, First Decorators, even First Pets, but no one has ever looked at the role of the First Friend in American history and how this person helped shape the man, his presidency, and history itself.

The Church is pleased to host The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center as they continue their Thinking Forward lecture Series with “Equality Matters in the Hamptons” a segment that focuses on discussing race, to open eyes and minds to all perspectives in our community. The talk “FROM THE TENEMENTS TO THE C-SUITE” will feature American businesswoman and powerhouse Ursula M. Burns.

A seven concert Series
The Church is excited to host Hamptons Jazz Fest for seven concerts this summer. Guests will be able to enjoy wonderfully diverse music performed by master musicians from all over the world. Hamptons Jazz Fest is a series of performances that bring world-class musicians in the fields of Jazz, Latin, and World music to a diverse cross-section of populations in the East End of Long Island. Aiming to create an intimate atmosphere, the audiences are invited to mingle before the show.
