MARTY BELLER is a GRAMMY Award-winning composer and the drummer for the iconic Alt-Rock Band They Might Be Giants, performing in over 1,000 shows in 150+ cities worldwide and drumming on over 25 albums. Marty has contributed as songwriter and vocalist on the band’s Disney releases Here Come the ABC’s, Here Come the 123’s and Here Comes Science.
Marty’s composing credits include: Prime Video's American Rust: Broken Justice, Showtime's American Rust Season 1, HBO's In Treatment, Netflix's Tiger King, Fox Television's Gracepoint, Showtime's Cradle of Champions, HBO's The Last Patrol, Sebastian Junger's Korengal, Bennett Miller's Emmy Award winner The Cruise, Cheyanne Kane's Isky, Todd Stephens' Another Gay Movie, Another Gay Sequel and Gypsy 83, A&E Networks' Biography of Groucho Marx, Audible's Radiant Minds Podcast, Investigation Discovery's Red Flags Podcast, Scholastic's iRead, Math 180 and Expert21 Series, Theatreworks USA's Romeo and Juliet.
Marty was the drummer on Steve Earle's Grammy-winning album Washington Square Serenade and on Jon Samson's Grammy-winning album Ageless: Songs for the Child Archetype. He has recorded and toured with Tony Award winner Stew and TNP, William Shatner, Jonathan Coulton, Ivy and Meow.
Marty was Music Director for The Total Bent by Stew and Heidi Rodewald at The Public Theater and Music Director for The Good Swimmer by Heidi Rodewald and Donna Di Novelli at Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Marty has composed and performed with international dance companies Jennifer Muller/The Works, Ephrat Asherie Dance, David Parsons Dance, Sean Curran, Heidi Latsky.
