Oct 3rd - 23rd

Wayne Gonzales is an artist who lives and works in New York City. He has had solo exhibitions at the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga in Málaga, Spain; the New Orleans Museum of Art; and Le Consortium in Dijon, France, and over thirty one-person gallery shows internationally. His work was also included in America. Between Dreams and Reality at the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec in Québec, Canada; Everything is Connected: Art and Conspiracy at the Met Breuer in New York; Chaos and Awe: Painting for the 21st Century at the Frist Museum in Nashville, Tennessee; Prospect 4: The Lotus in Spite of the Swamp, the New Orleans triennial in New Orleans; America is Hard to See at the Whitney Museum in New York; and Dark Matter at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC.

As a resident, Gonzales will develop works that are inspired by the isolation of an individual in the crowd and human impact on the landscape and environment; a theme he has been exploring for over a decade.
