Guitars according to g.e. smith and
the american artists' hand archive
October 7th - December 22nd, 2022
Hand Made: Guitars according to G.E. Smith & the American Artists’ Hand Archive brings together two cohesive yet unusual collections: a group of 16 rare and classic guitars selected by G.E. Smith and the American Artists' Hands Archives collection of 31 bronze cast sculptures depicting the hand(s) of visual artists. The show explores the idea of skill as something that is both acquired through study and learned through the continuous physical practice of a craft.

Sag harbor in Focus
JUNE 9th - 18th, 2022
The Church hosted Sag Harbor in Focus for its sixth annual celebration of both our village of Sag Harbor and of living on the East End of Long Island, as experienced by the students from Pierson High School. The exhibition will include photographs in eight separate categories including Portraiture, Landscape, Architecture, Still Life, Home and Family, A Sense of Place, People and Activities, and Inside Out. The students’ work was assembled by artist and Pierson High School art teacher Peter Solow and art teacher Liz Cataletto, including work from their Advanced Photography and Photography classes.
The annual Sag Harbor in Focus exhibition was created six years ago by Eric Fischl and April Gornik, who are also this year’s sponsors along with the Reutershan Educational Trust. Although the focus is on Sag Harbor, as Fischl has stated, “Art transforms the local into the universal through the lens of the gifted eye.”
